about “as”

Design Studio as（アス）は、
「明日（あす）」のように前向きで、あたたかい未来を感じられるように——
そんな想いを込めて名付けました。

1. 名前の由来

“as”は英語で「〜として」という意味を持ちます。
デザイナーとして、イラストレーターとして、
そして一人の人として、
誰かのそばで寄り添えるような作品を届けたい——
そんな気持ちも重ねています。

もうひとつの理由は、「あす（明日）」という響き。
「明日も元気に」「明日も続いていく」
そんな小さな希望を感じられる言葉でもあります。

この名前を通して、見る人や使う人の“明日”に
ほんの少しでも彩りを添えられたら嬉しいです。

これからも“as”として、
シンプルでやさしいデザインをお届けしていきます。

Design Studio as was named with the hope of bringing a sense of warmth and positivity—

like “asu” (明日 / tomorrow) in Japanese, symbolizing a bright and gentle future ahead.

The word “as” in English means “as a” or “in the role of.”

It reflects my wish to create works as a designer, as an illustrator,

and as a person—always close to someone, quietly supporting their everyday life through simple, heartfelt designs.

Another inspiration comes from the sound “asu,” which means “tomorrow” in Japanese.

It carries a sense of small hope—

“May tomorrow be kind,” “May tomorrow continue gently.”

I want that feeling to flow through my illustrations and designs.

Through Design Studio as,

I hope to add a small touch of color and calmness to someone’s tomorrow

with simple, warm, and thoughtful creations.
